Bored punks, get ready to shake off that monotony! Before the chaos of Punk Rock Bowling officially takes over, we’re kicking off the fun on Thursday, May 23, at the Fremont Country Club. The pioneering punk singer Robert Lopez is headlining the event, bringing his alter ego El Vez — a West Coast cult phenomenon known for Latino takes on Presley hits infused with punk and new-wave elements. The night continues with The Meteors, English psychobilly trailblazers credited with shaping the distinctive sound of the genre. The Polecats, a new wave and rockabilly revival band, and Calavera, a Mexican American psychobilly outfit from Los Angeles, will also join the party. DJ Lethal will be spinning tunes and promising special guests, and rumor is there might be a dunk tank in the parking lot! This gig is your ideal pre-game for punks hitting Vegas early for PRB. Doors open at 8:30 PM, and tickets are just $22.
